    Our Mission

At Dance With Change™, we recognize that change is the only constant, but it isn’t change itself that unsettles people. It’s being caught off-guard by it. When change disrupts meaning, identity, or expectations, the instinctive response is often resistance.

Our mission is to help individuals and organizations respond to personal, professional, and organizational change —especially when it is unexpected — not with fear or force, but with agility.

Drawing on lived experience, research, and practice, we equip people and teams with the mindset tools to stabilize first, make sense of what’s shifting, and move forward with clarity, grace, and agility, thereby transforming disruption into forward momentum and more meaningful ways of working and living.

    About Dance With Change

    Background

Dr. Khutso Madubanya is the founder of Dance With Change™—a philosophy and practice grounded in one simple truth: change is inevitable, but struggling through it is not.

Originally from South Africa, Dr. Khutso has lived and worked across eight countries and is a mother of three, including a set of twins. Her life and career have unfolded across cultures, industries, and identities—often outside conventional paths. She affectionately refers to herself as an “international unicorn,” not as a label of exception, but as an honest reflection of never quite fitting neatly into prescribed boxes.

These lived experiences have made her a master navigator of change—not because she avoids disruption, but because she has learned how to stay grounded within it.

She once joked to a new friend that she feels like a cat—having lived and survived several lives. Through personal upheavals, professional reinventions, and unexpected transitions, she has learned how to recalibrate internally before reacting externally.

How to remain agile without losing oneself.

How to dance with whatever life brings.

Through Dance With Change™, Dr. Khutso shares these insights with individuals, leaders, and organizations navigating transition—helping them move through uncertainty with less fear and more clarity. At the heart of her work is the belief that adaptability is not just a survival instinct, but a skill that can be strengthened when people are given the right mindset tools and language.

A passionate dancer, runner, yogi, and traveler, her guiding mantra is simple and disarming:
We may not love change—but since we all have to do it, we might as well learn how to dance with it.

    Skills

Dr. Khutso Madubanya’s career spans continents and disciplines — from teaching English and International Development across Africa, Asia, and the U.S., to working in international economics, policy, and digital marketing. She has run a few companies of ther own and also collaborated with governments, global NGOs, and major brands - even embraced humble roles along the way — from wedding singer to dog walker — each one shaping her grounded perspective on work and life.

A lifelong learner and natural “pivot-er,” she thrives in environments of change. Her journey has taught her that versatility is not instability — it’s strength.

Through her Dance With Change™ philosophy and P.I.V.O.T.™ Method framework, Dr. Madubanya helps people and organizations turn uncertainty into opportunity with confidence and clarity.

    Books

Just launched No More Free Passes (Winter 2025)!!! This mini e-book is a part-memoir, part-manifesto that builds on the Dance With Change™ philosophy to confront the modern myth of strength. In this book, Dr. Khutso Madubanya boldly exposes how hyper-independence—especially among women and mothers—has become a quiet form of self-erasure. Through personal insight and cultural critique, she invites readers to reclaim connection, worth, and power that no longer depends on “doing it all.”

Dancing With Change (Spring 2026) elaborately introduces Dr. Khutso Madubanya’s P.I.V.O.T. Method™—a simple, powerful framework for navigating life’s transitions with agility, clarity, and agency. Through real stories and practical tools, it helps readers stop fearing change and start moving with it - what she calls "dancing with change".
